What do we offer?

We offer an integration program for foreign physicians. The foreign physician receives a medical education combined with an intensive language school focused on medical terminology. The instructors in this program are Dutch physicians and pharmacists who work in the Dutch healthcare system. Therefore, the foreign physicians are provided with very practical knowledge enabling them to quickly operate at the required level.

Foreign physicians will be prepared over the course of a 30-week training program for the Dutch healthcare system. The groups in the training consist of no more than 10 foreign physicians and/or pharmacists per group. After this training, the foreign physicians can be employed in the Dutch healthcare system, for example under the supervision of a BIG-registered physician.

Components of the part-time training program

The part-time training program includes the following components:

  • Medical Language lessons by a recognized Language Institute.
  • Knowledge of the Dutch healthcare system.
  • Continuing education in medical guidelines.
  • Pharmacology.
  • Quality management (including competency assessments to comply with current laws and regulations).
  • Developments in the medical world in the Netherlands & globally (for example, the application of DNA profiles for personalized medication dosing).
